58 out of 60: 2 Races Left to Count

I forgot to mention in my last post that with the election of Mark Begich, the Democrats now have 58 out of the 60 Senate seats they were seeking to get a filibuster proof majority. We are still waiting on the results of 2 races:

1. There will be a special election in Georgia because neither candidate got at least 50% of the vote. President-elect Obama has announced that he will throw his full weight behind this race so I am quite optimistic about a Democrat victory.

2. Minnesota!!!!! Al Franken is only down 206 votes before the recount. Stay tuned to keep up on recount results...

Wow, what a Democratic turn out this year. It was the youth vote. You guys are amazing. We rock it.
